Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full length movie

I have just finished watching both the movie 9 and the short film and concluded a couple things from my observations. first off I wanna say that the movies were great. Not the most top spec in terms of quality but the story line and events mad the movie a bit more interesting to me. The characters were so rugged and edgy which pretty much matched up with the scenario. I've noticed that there wasn't any or a lack of words in the movie . Now that I've got that out of the way lets discuss the films in detail. Ill start with the short film first. The film was a bit fast pace most likely to fit with in that short film  time frame. and the development of the characters specifically the main character, was rather quick, turning from a more passive role to the role of a hero. The conventions of the short film is is just like that of a basic action film, a protagonist, an antagonist, a climax point in which most of the action  resides and is coming to a finishing point, and a resolution of said climax. I saw the same in the full length film as well. Speaking of witch now we switch our focus to the full length movie and I can see that their is quite a bit of dialogue. the progression is a bit slower and more thought out. I did here some narration towards the front of the movie. And I got a lot of background to why things are the way they are in the movie. The character development also progressed at a slower pace making the characters in a sense seem more real. The full length movie also maintain a greater feeling of suspense. Now with regards to the short film I think it did a good job with setting the tone/ mood for the short film while also making the film have a dark ominous feel to it. there story lines were also a bit different when comparing the short film to the full length film. the full length spend a bit more time and detail on its cast of  characters. Overall the full length film seemed like more of a finished product and that why i would prefer it over the short film. the convention between both remained the same although the short took a more dark and ominous approach more akin to horror.
